AC Business Media (ACBM) is pleased to announce the hire of Erica Floyd, Editor-in-Chief of Equipment Today and Michael Cheng, Product Editor for ForConstructionPros.com — strengthening its editorial team. As ACBM continues to make strides within the business-to-business (B2B) sphere, it recognized the need for additional talent and expertise to continue growing its industry-leading brands.

Floyd brings a unique skillset to the table, having more than 15 years of editorial and communication experience. She has written and proof-read everything from B2B magazines to press releases in multiple markets — including manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, and automotive parts.

Paired with her vast experience, Floyd holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from UW-Madison and an MFA in creative writing from Antioch University Los Angeles.

Reporting to Marina Mayer, Content Director of ACBM, Floyd will be tasked with producing high-value content articulated to the heavy equipment market; spearheading the monthly production process for both print and digital issues, including working with the production manager, art director, and others; moderating video production for videos, webinars, and seminars; and attending and connecting with Equipment Today’s audience at tradeshows, conferences, and other industry events.

Coupled with Floyd’s addition, Cheng — the new product editor of ForConstructionPros.com — brings a wealth of experience generating different types of B2B marketing content, such as whitepapers, website articles, web pages, sales e-newsletters, spec sheets, and product manuals. As a technical writer in the industrial sector covering construction, equipment manufacturing, explosive-proof, and renewable energy markets; Cheng used a data-driven approach to optimize content and apply SEO for publishing across various digital channels.

Utilizing his experience as a technical writer for Larson Electronics where he managed a database of over 50,000 products, Cheng will be tasked with publishing daily articles, insights around the equipment buying process, product reviews, and comparison insights on everything from equipment, drones, electronics, tools, workwear, and other construction products.
