Associate Editor, Equipment

AC Business Media, a leader in driving brand awareness and preference through partnerships with its clients, is seeking an Associate Editor to work across our construction titles focusing on original equipment and product content.  The Associate Editor will support the brands, content, and project efforts of more senior editors to ensure brand revenue is met.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Websites and print contain fresh content, including written, audio, video, and visual.

    • Input products, press releases and news items into the content management system for assigned brands.

    • Collaborate with sales and other editors to identify content.

    • Stay abreast of industry news and events.

    • Ensure content is edited and proofread.

    • Post and submit content based on schedule.

    • Generate original content ideas and potential revenue opportunities and present those for vetting and approval.

    • Analyze content performance to consistently learn what content is working and what content isn’t.

  • Brand social media channels are engaging, increase audience, and provide a platform for further monetization.

    • Create engaging posts regularly to check in with audience, drive interest, and encourage others to follow.

    • Build audience following to increase opportunities for the sales team to sell against.

    • Keep up with any new platform changes or algorithms to ensure efficiency of posting.

  • Other duties as assigned are achieved in helping the brand(s) meet revenue goal(s).

    • Participate in teams and company meetings.

    • Engage in client networking and building relationships.

    • Collaborate with sales, Partner Success Managers, and designers to accomplish client or sales efforts projects.

    • Provides backup to editors to relieve some of the workload pressure on the senior editors.
