Ron Spink Chief Executive Officer
Ron Spink joined AC Business media in 2021 as Chief Executive Officer. He has 30 years of experience in executive media and management roles, specializing in driving reinvention of brand and product through digital strategy, data integration, and performance marketing innovation. In his previous role as CEO and founder of SpinKorp LLC, he led a national media consultancy focused on transformative digital product strategy for his clients.
His prior experience includes leading brand, product, and revenue as Executive Vice President for Hanley Wood media, an integrated B2B information & solution provider for the housing and building construction sector. Spink has also held several executive and management roles with Hanley Wood, Crain Communications, ACC Communications, and BPA Worldwide – along with serving on numerous board and advisory groups in the media and construction space. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University, earning a B.B.A. in Finance and Real Estate.
JoAnn Breuchel Chief Financial Officer
JoAnn Breuchel joined AC Business Media in 2014 as the CFO and is responsible for the overall financial management of the company. She has 20 years of experience in various finance and accounting roles. Her prior experience includes 3 years as the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager for Cygnus Business Media as well as 12 years in various financial management roles with US Cellular and TDS Telecom. JoAnn graduated from UW-Whitewater with a bachelor’s degree in accounting prior to earning her CPA license.
Kris Heineman Chief Digital Officer
Kris holds over 15 years of experience leading digital strategies and envisioning product roadmaps for multiple large media organizations. Most recently the Senior Audience Development Director for American Media, he directed product and business development strategies for Men’s Journal, Muscle & Fitness, Snowboarder and more. His prior media experience comes from leadership positions at TEN: The Enthusiastic Network, Bonnier Corporation, TransWorld Media, and Freedom Communications.
Amy Schwandt Chief Revenue Officer
Amy Schwandt is a seasoned and recognized professional in the B2B media space and currently serves as Chief Revenue Officer. She previously held leadership roles at the company including Group Publisher and Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Amy is ultimately accountable in driving revenue growth in all areas of the business, by leveraging and aligning all revenue-generating departments. Her diverse role includes sales management, expertise in the trade show sector of the business, as well as helping to identify and strategically develop new product launches and acquisition opportunities. Amy also serves on many boards and committees in the industries she serves and is a frequent speaker at industry events.
Her work has been recognized by respected industry media outlets and she was named by Folio magazine as a Top Women In Media and TSNN Trade Show Manager of the Year in 2016.
Sean Dunphy Brand Director
Sean Dunphy is Group Publisher at AC Business Media. He has management responsibility for the heavy construction and landscape portfolio, manages custom content for the Association of Equipment Management Professionals, and has sales responsibility for several key construction advertisers. He has more than 20 years of B2B publishing experience in sales and management. He has worked in publishing, media and database technology for his entire career. Sean’s expertise in B2B marketing, media transformation, ad tech and mar tech is very much appreciated and recognized by all of his clients. Sean holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jason DeSarle Brand Director
Jason DeSarle has been in the B2B and B2C media space for over 20 years and has worked at various publishers including Penton Media, Advanstar Communications, and Questex Media. Over his tenure in the media industry, Jason has managed numbers brands in various industries including manufacturing, power sports, landscape, and golf. Most recently, he worked at the National Association of Landscape Professionals as their Vice President of membership and marketing. Jason resides in Cleveland, OH, where he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
Nick Raether VP of Operations and IT
Nick Raether utilizes a decade of Information Technology experience and his business-driven technical skillset to lead Digital Operations and technical infrastructure for AC Business Media. In his multi-faceted role, Nick oversees IT and Infrastructure strategy, manages the day-to-day Digital Operations team and workflow, and works with the Executive management team to create technical solutions to facilitate digital and data product growth. Nick has played a key role in new technological advances implementations at AC business Media and has led the integrations of many new systems and acquired print and digital properties.
Ronda Hughes VP of Audience Development
Ronda Hughes joined AC Business Media in March of 2020 and is the centralized resource to champion audience growth across all channels with a particular focus on connecting and growing behavioral data and insights. Her prior experience included being the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Digital Solutions which included Audience Engagement, Email Marketing, Digital Pre-Sales Consultation, and Marketing at EnsembleIQ. Prior to that, she was with UBM Americas (and other associated companies) for over 30 years where she has held several different positions but most of her tenure involved audience data, engagement, development, and marketing.
She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Management/Organizational Development from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota.
Director, Demand Generation & Education
Jim Bagan joined AC Business Media in the newly created role of Director, Demand Generation & Education across all the markets that ACBM serves.
Jim comes with a unique skillset developed with 30 plus years in B2B media, online education and demand generation. Jim worked 21 years at Hanley Wood where, as Director of Education Solutions, he was an instrumental part of building a continuing education platform in the architectural & construction markets. In that environment, Jim drove continuing education success on a new platform launch through the first CE program in the industry structured as a lead generation model. After this successful implementation, Jim went on to serve as Senior Account Director at Spiceworks/Ziff Davis, where he worked directly with enterprise level clients in providing a renewable subscription model that drives community, predictive intent data, quality lead generation, and sales intelligence services. Jim graduated from Illinois State University with a Masters of Science.
General Manager, Online & Marketing Services
Bethany joined AC Business Media in the newly created role of General Manager, Online & Marketing Services to provide ACBM partners custom marketing strategies that educate and excite. A National Press Club fellow and Folio Top Women in Media honoree, Bethany uses multimedia storytelling to connect businesses and customers and trains other marketers to do the same through professional organizations like the Content Marketing Institute. Bethany understands the challenges facing corporate marketers today having most recently held a national marketing leadership role for one of the world’s top public accounting firms. Prior to that she spent a decade leading audience engagement and digital media teams in the construction, technology and green industries at B2B publishers. Bethany holds degrees in business and journalism from Duquesne University and Northwestern University.
Marina Mayer, an experience B2B journalist with 19 years in the industry, serves as Content Director of AC Business Media, overseeing all brands, including For Construction Pros, Equipment Today, Pavement Maintenance & Reconstruction, Concrete Contractor, Asphalt Contractor, Rental Magazine, Green Industry Pros and SnowPro, as well as continues to serve as Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive.
She is tasked with managing both brands, including print, digital, e-newsletter, social media, marketing campaigns, sales projects, webinars and more. Mayer establishes editorial direction of the brands; assigns, proofs and executes content; manages freelancers and expert columnists; presents at industry conferences; works alongside art, production, marketing and sales to help execute revenue-generating opportunities; and stays abreast of industry trends and technologies. Mayer also helps oversee SCN Summit and the Supply Chain Learning Center.
