Editorial Brand Editor

We are looking for a full-time Brand Editor with experience creating, managing and sourcing engaging B2B content for the Equipment Rental industry. You will plan, coordinate, create, and edit content (articles, research, video, photos, podcasts) to grow the brand across print and digital platforms. Our ideal candidate must be a strong storyteller who can share content for our business audiences in an engaging way through strong writing as well as other types of content assets on occasion.

You are a fit for this role if you can build industry relationships, create engaging content, and understand the audience data in order to adapt to their response. We’re looking for experience interviewing high profile industry sources and writing articles that keep best web writing practices in mind and drive readership and engagement. Ideally, this writer and content creator has experience covering topics in the Equipment Rental industry.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES, include, but are not limited to:

  • Producing content regularly for both print, email, web, and social channels

  • Manage outside contributors and annual content calendars

  • Travel to cover tradeshows and events (25%)

  • Working collaboratively with other editors, sales, graphics, and marketing teams

  • Keeping an eye on content performance to consistently learn what content is working and what content isn’t

  • Create new editorial opportunities

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor’s in journalism, communications, writing or related field OR relevant experience

  • 3-5 years in a content creation environment or editorial role

  • Some experience with other content formats a plus

  • Experience with the equipment rental or construction industry or business management knowledge a plus

  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time
