AC Business Media is looking for a content innovator who will have the opportunity to have daily “hands on” with our newest digital platform launch.  The position is ideal for those looking to creatively help build and grow a new supported content and buyer engagement website through groundbreaking and relevant content creation, curation, partnership, and strategic vision. 


The platform is a destination resource for expert-grade buyer’s insights, research, and comparison – specifically engineered to inform buyers of heavy equipment, construction tech, and workwear consumables.  While the new content engine will be stand alone and of primary focus for this role, there will also be feed opportunity to support our legacy digital products Equipment Today, For Construction Pros, and our affiliated construction brand audiences.  As such, this position will have a strong voice in the buyer’s conversation around commercial construction product for the industry.


Candidates should be entrepreneurially minded, content professionals who are excited to get their hands dirty (pun intended) around the review of construction products, insight building around buyer’s strategies, and content exploration of workwear/products and consumables.   




  • Must have a background in content and/or content marketing and be able to create captivating copy that incorporates general SEO best practices and engages B2B professionals

  • Ideal candidates will have an equipment, heavy machinery, or construction products background with photo, video, copywriting skills who can review product information and create video/editorial content

  • Must have an eye for detail, be deadline-oriented and can create/publish content from start-to-finish

  • Minimum 4-5 years of professional experience in digital journalism, preferably in e-commerce

  • Must have working knowledge of construction or large equipment

  • The ideal person will have the ability to work independently and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

  • Needs to understand affiliate marketing, affiliate linking, SEO and will implement affiliate/partner links into content


Job Results/Outcomes

  • You'll be responsible for publishing daily articles, insights around the equipment buying process, product review, comparison insights, spanning everything from equipment, drones, electronics, tools, workwear, and other construction products

  • Create and publish e-commerce stories on our new platform environment

  • Content can be produced in house or outsourced, but should be in depth and engaging with written, photo and video creative

  • Collaborate with Content Director, ACBM’s managing editor and other editors within the Construction content team to identify, post and share product write-ups.

  • Write and produce shoppable content roundups every week, featuring the latest construction products, ranging from gear to tools

  • Update existing content ensuring latest product launches and trends are reflected

  • Track affiliate related sales and site traffic and send weekly e-commerce revenue reports and updates

  • Create and track product review results to determine best categories to pursue

  • Work closely with the editorial team to follow SEO and e-commerce editorial best practices

  • Websites and print contain fresh content, including written, audio, video, and visual

  • Collaborating with sales and other editors to identify content

  • Stay abreast of industry news and events

  • Ensure content is edited and proofread

  • Post and submit content based on schedule

  • Must generate original content ideas and potential revenue opportunities and present those for vetting and approval

  • Keeping an eye on content performance to consistently learn what content is working and what content isn’t
