Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for corporate and partner communications, focusing on social media optimization, lead gen programs, developing and executing multi-platform marketing programs, and finding ways to enhance exposure and promote the company’s brands and events. Covering a diverse portfolio of construction, landscape, supply chain, manufacturers, and marketing brands, you will use your marketing, copywriting, and basic design skills to develop the brands’ messaging and marketing efforts for each.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Complete client sold sponsorships and marketing of internal offerings (web ads, newsletter ads, email campaigns, print house ads, etc.)

  • Copywriting and design of emails for lead generation campaigns including ebooks, whitepapers, and webinars

  • Serve as the point of contact with vendors to complete advertiser and readership surveys, compile results, and award winners from drawing

  • Promote learning center to advertisers and facilitate website updates with designers

  • Update annual media kits for brands, including sell sheets, supplement promos, and more

  • Market award programs to promote nominations and entries, while facilitating the back-end fulfillment of ordering awards, launching websites to promote purchase of branded promotional items, etc.

  • Responsible for scheduling monthly house ads in newsletters and other mediums

  • Review and analyze organic social content, providing takeaways to improve individual pages

  • Be the lead social contact for all brands, troubleshoot posting errors, and guide team members through various social media platforms to increase engagement and grow channels by utilizing previous knowledge and current industry trends

  • Understand the capabilities of the various social media ad accounts while providing guidance on ad optimization and creation; Facebook Blueprint certified a plus

  • Develop and execute multi-platform digital marketing plans for brands and external partners

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 1-3 years of marketing experience

  • Advanced understanding of social media platforms and extension capabilities

  • Preferred experience with a B2B background, but not required

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Effective project management skills to keep projects on track, while working efficiently

  • Understanding of technology and programs including Google Analytics, Microsoft suite, marketing automation, customer data platform, etc.

  • Basic design skills and design platforms like “InDesign”

  • Positive, “can do” attitude

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines
