Editor - Asphalt & Pavement Markets
AC Business Media is seeking an Editor to support their Asphalt Contractor and Pavement brand.
What You’ll be Responsible for

Support the brand, content and project efforts.
-
Act as brand editorial lead for both asphalt and pavement markets.
-
Write articles, product write-ups, blogs and more for both print and online.
-
Assign out and manage contributed content for both print and online.
-
Spearhead monthly production process for both publications, including working with Production Manager, Art Director and more.
-
Manage websites by updating content and adding events, webinars and more.
-
Produce high-value content.
-
Manage e-newsletters and social media channels.
-
Monitor Parse.ly data to determine keywords to use within stories as well as digital content for the asphalt and pavement markets.
-
Collaborate with ACBM’s managing editor as well as other editors within the Construction content team to identify and share content.
-
Work with Editorial Advisory Board to receive contributed content, discuss trends and more.
-
Oversee awards programs and work with Content Director and Sales team to continue improving processes, etc.
-
Work with Content Director to identify top industry topics, create annual editorial calendar, update digital media kit and more.
-
Help manage content for ForConstrutionPros.com, including but not limited to contributed content, case studies, posting of news and events and more.
-
Moderate podcast series, video production podcasts and other webinars/seminars.
-
Attend tradeshows/conferences and other industry events.
-
Repurpose content for different forms of media.
-

Ensure print and digital properties contain fresh content, including written, audio, video and visual.
-
Complete articles and other assignments according to specified deadlines.
-
Take ownership of brand from an editorial perspective, including content direction.
-
Input articles, news items, blogs, case studies, product write-ups and other content into the content management system for assigned brands.
-
Collaborate with ACBM’s managing editor as well as other editors within the Construction content team to identify and share content.
-
Stay abreast of industry news and events.
-
Ensure content is edited and proofread.
-
Post and submit content based on schedule.
-
Generate original content ideas and potential revenue opportunities and present those for vetting and approval.
-
Monitor content performance to learn what content is working and what content isn’t.
-
Help repurpose content across different brand channels.
-
Monitor Parse.ly data and other platforms to determine keywords to use within stories as well as digital content.
-
Collaborate with other editors within the FCP space to identify and share content.
-

Ensure brand social media channels are engaging, increase audience and provide a platform for further monetization.
-
Create engaging social media posts to check in with audience, drive interest and encourage others to follow.
-
Build audience to increase revenue-generating opportunities.
-
Keep up with any new platform changes or algorithms to ensure efficiency of posting.
-

Other duties as assigned are achieved in helping the brand(s) meet revenue goal(s).

Participate in team and company meetings.
-
Engage in client networking and building relationships.
-
Attend tradeshows/conferences and other industry events.
-
Collaborate with sales, digital sales team and designers to accomplish client or sales efforts projects, including webinars, premium content, other customer projects and more.
-
Oversee any award or recognition program for the brand and ensure it is in line with brand and revenue goals.

Collaborate with art director in production for print issues.
-
Help proofread print pages to ensure quality content.
-
Contribute to podcast series, video production podcasts and other webinars/seminars.
-
Contribute to custom client content and programs (i.e. social media and seminar moderation).

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Bachelor’s Degree plus three years managing a brand, program, or event, or five years of experience writing articles and/or news, as well as advanced editing, plus three years managing a brand, program, or event
-
