Event Marketing Specialist

Description:

The Event Marketing Specialist (full-time, salaried, regular) will report to the Marketing Manager and will be responsible for executing tradeshows and events for all accounts. You will work with design, sales, digital operations, and the marketing team to develop successful events that meet revenue goals while effectively promoting our brands.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead event planning for annual award programs including venue selection, promotion of nomination and ticket sales, logistics and operational duties, etc.

  • Manage logistics and coordination of tradeshows for all brands from working with design to create booth graphics, coordinating with vendors to ensure booth services are ordered/fulfilled, and crafting marketing efforts to maximize our company’s presence while at the shows

  • Negotiation of media tradeouts for exhibitor booth space at show

  • Fulfillment of sponsored events including a summer snapshot series that awards lunches to crews on the jobsite

  • Copywriting of event promotions (eblasts, ads, etc.)

  • Management of tradeshow and event inventory and responsible for ordering new promotional items/swag

  • Analyze trends in marketing efforts to determine successful and unsuccessful tactics

  • Post-event reporting and recap for team

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 2-4 years of marketing experience, specifically in planning company-hosted events and tradeshows

  • Preferred experience with a B2B background, but not required

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Effective project management skills to keep projects on track, while working efficiently

  • Understanding of technology and programs including Google Analytics, Microsoft suite, marketing automation, customer data platform, etc.

  • Positive, “can do” attitude

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines

  • Ability to travel 20-25%, with flexibility
