Staff your trade show for success and make an impression!

While a snazzy, eye-catching booth grabs the attention of attendees, if you don’t have the right staff manning your booth or give the attendees a positive experience, your trade show efforts will be compromised. You’ve spent a lot of money to get to this point – make sure you can measure your ROI.

 

How do you ensure your staff positively contributes to your show presence and booth experience?

  1. Use experienced employees. You have one chance to make a great impression.

  2. Bring the right staff. Who will they be meeting with – customers, media, agencies?

  3. Take staff who want to work the show. Enthusiasm is contagious.

  4. Ensure your staff is trained for the show and everyone understands the desired experience that you want to impart with attendees. This may include new product/service training, who to refer specific inquiries to or how to handle leads. Saying “I don’t know” doesn’t build confidence in your company.

  5. Establish expectations. Includes booth etiquette, grooming and attire.

  6. Create goals and objectives to measure your success. Educate your team on the metrics and expectations so everyone is working toward the common goal.

It’s not enough to stand in a booth, greet attendees and collect business cards. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable and professional staff will help ensure you have a successful – and profitable – show.
