Staff Accountant

We’re seeking a staff accountant who will make a positive impact on our team and our overall profitability.



  • Accounting transactions are accurately recorded.

    • Month-end close checklist is completed by assigned due dates.

    • Accounts payable transactions are accurately recorded. 

  • Accounts receivable are collected in a timely manner.

    • Clients, particularly those overdue, are communicated with to facilitate payment.

    • Sales team is kept apprised and engaged as necessary to support collections.

    • Deposits are made to the bank and accurately recorded in NetSuite.

  • HR and payroll processes are performed to ensure accurate paychecks and compliance.

    • Payroll changes are properly implemented into each bi-weekly run.

    • Employee HR files are maintained.

    • Routine HR tasks including onboarding and off-boarding tasks and UI administration are fulfilled

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:​

  • Associate’s degree in a business discipline (2-year degree) is required; a Bachelor’s in accountancy is higher preferred

  • 1 year of general accounting experience preferred

  • Ability to create collections strategies on a client-basis to enhance collections effectiveness

  • Ability to weather rejections in the collections process

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and service providers

  • Excellent critical thinking/analytical skills and ability

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to adjust communication style appropriately to meet the needs of the audience
